HERE IS SOME RESONS WHY MOA ARE EXTINCT...

  • Firstly people have killed Moa for food to much.
  • They skinned them for the skin to make cloaks and clothes.
  • They used the teeth for necklaces.
  • This picture shows people trying to spear the Moa.

Wingless
The Moa was a wingless bird. It could not fly and because of this it was a bit more easer to spear them.
But the Moa was very fast and could run away.

The Moa was very tall and very heavy.
The Moa was 3.6m tall or 12foot tall. Its weight was 230kg.

Extinct.
The Moa is extinct witch means all of its species has died out. None of the Moa is alive. They all died out around 1300AD.
