In modern astronomy, a constellation is an internationally defined area of the celestial sphere.

Constellations are how we see stars from the earths point of view. They are simply patterns we see in our heads.

  • About 80 of them can be seen from hawaii 
  • Our modern constellation system comes to us from the ancient Greeks.
