WHY

  • Many nations go to war due to these aspects
  • Nationalism -spirit or aspirations common to the whole of a nation.
  • Imperialism - policy to extend the rule of the nation over foreign countries.
  • Militarism- a strong military spirit or policy.

ARAB-ISRAELI War

  • These wars are all based on the three reasons on why nations go to war.
  • The first reason is that the Egyptians felt a sense of Nationalism.
  • The second is that the Israelis were being Imperialists by taking over the Sinai peninsula.
  • The third is Militarism because the Israelis were building up a song military with the help of the U.S.

THE WINTER WAR

  • This war was between the Soviets and Finland
  • This was caused by the Soviet need for more land
  • In outcome of this war Finland helped Germany invade Leningrad
  • This war was to help the Russians gain more land for the protection of LG
  • Out Come were Soviet Victory

  • This war was fought between the Catholics and Protestants in Europe
  • It was fought from 1618-1648
  • This war had 8,000,000 - 11,500,000 casualties
  • This war was fought between two sects of Christianity
  • This started due to the spread of Protestantism in Germany.
