Why Teens Use Drugs

By: Xavier Medina

Reason why teens use drugs

  • To escape bullying or to be more popular
  • The feeling they get of the drug
  • Peer pressure
  • To feel better or forget about something
  • They see other people do it so they want to fit in

To escape bullying or become popular

  • The reason why using drugs is not the way to go with this is that drugs can make you do things you wouldn't normally do and make you seem weird in front of other people. For most people when someone takes drugs constantly you want to help them but when it gets to the point they put drugs before you they lose friends at a fast rate.

The feeling they get from that drug

  • The reason why you don't want to use drugs for the feeling of the drug is that it ruins your body and mind. It will make you a totally different person. For example if the drug gets too serious in your life and you start buying more of that drug than food. That will make you seem malnourished.

Peer pressure

  • You should not ever fall to peer pressure especially with drugs. Ever since you were young you were told not to do drugs. Even if the person that is peer pressuring you is your best friend you should say no or walk away. The reason why you shouldn't do drugs with your friends is that it can ruin all of your lives ( school, and education ) and it can potentially turn into an accident where one of you gets seriously injured or gets killed. As of a 201

To feel better or forget about something

  • Drugs is not the way to go with this problem because if it's something like abuse you can tell a trusted adult or a friend and not keep it a secret to plan a separation between the victim and the suspect

To fit in

  • There is many ways to fit in with people and drugs is one of the worst ways to fit in a friend group. You can simply just do SAFE favors for someone or just talk to them.
