Willys-Overland Truck was the first pickup jeep. The next was the Jeep Gladiator in 1963. In 1971, the production of Jeep Gladiator stopped. The Jeep Gladiator resurfaced in 2019. It had much in common with the Wrangler and offered several benefits of a pickup truck.
The Gladiator has maintained the off-road performance and rugged styling archetypical of a jeep. It also facilitates a smooth and comfy day-to-day commute. The latest 2021 Gladiator has various trims.
All the trims fare well, particularly regarding towing, hauling, and driving on jagged terrain. All models have a crew cab, four doors, a cargo bed of five feet, 4WD, and a V6 engine.
The Mojave is prominent amongst the trims. It is “Desert Rated.”
Ride Stability and Control
This model has Fox coil-over shocks of a diameter of 2.5 inches. They dissipate the heat due to driving at great speeds over coarse desert terrain. So, there is less chance of the shocks bottoming out. Moreover, Mojave’s front track is half an inch wider.
Moreover, a premium suspension fluid helps maintain the optimal functioning of the shocks even when temperatures are extreme. And hydraulic jounce bumpers facilitate a more even ride.
Ground Clearance
To facilitate greater jounce travel, the front suspension of the Mojave is an inch more above the ground. The Mojave has 11.6 inches of ground clearance. That's approximately half an inch above the Rubicon’s. The Mojave also has a front skid plate.
Traction
This model has better traction performance. The reason is some components. The front and rear have the Command-Trac transfer case and third-generation axles, including an ELD. This ELD is an improvement over the Rubicon from a maximum of 30 mph to 50 mph.
Then, there are the All-Terrain tires of 33 inches. They’re explicitly engineered for better performance in the sand.
Desert Prowess
The Mojave truck has class-leading performance in the sand, dust, extreme heat, and different extreme desert conditions. The credit goes to the Mojave’s cooling and induction systems.
Maneuverability
This model has first-rate maneuverability. The specially-tuned suspension helps drivers to rectify the truck’s path fast when required. The Mojave traveling is at high speeds is as agile as a pickup truck. Those interested can get more information from here.
The Mojave has more than an impressive performance. It has an equally great look. The exterior and inner design is archetypal Jeep all over. The sight of Mojave plying the road is great and reminiscent of a jeep. The orange color is present across the Mojave and has a bold-yet-tasteful look.
