WHY WE LEARN ABOUT HISTORY

By: Luke Elliott and Chase Mello-Ferrone

History gives us an urge to discover, and the reward of solving what has happened. If we didn't want to learn history... Well we wouldn't know ANYTHING about the past. For instance if we didn't study the bible we wouldn't even know that God exists.

History gives us information on how other people live. We can learn their lifestyle , what they eat, hunt, what they used for shelter, what did they use to hunt, ect.

With history we could see things from different perspectives. Image what it was like for the slaves, if we just saw what happened at the "owners " perspective we would probably think the slaves where doing there jobs to just have jobs or to get payed. Bit of you look at the scenario from the slaves perspectives, they went through some pretty bad stuff.

History increases your critical thinking skills. If you are learning about something and you are interested in it, you would want to know what happens next or what happened to this and that person, why did it happen, things like that.

THANK YOU FOR LISTENING!
