WHY WE SHOULD GET A DOG

PROS

• Companionship for our kids and myself.
• Teaches the kids responsibility
• Cheap entertainment, (i.e. Playing fetch, teaching tricks, general playtime)
• Would encourage the kids and myself to go outside more often.
• Would be extra companionship during the time when Matt is in school.

ADDITIONAL PROS AND THOUGHTS

• Fenced in backyard
• No loud, yappy, or long haired dogs would be up for consideration.
• Would get an adult dog, to avoid house training.
• Would get from a kill shelter to save a dogs life. This would be good for the kids to learn about.

CONS

• Food costs per month
• Vet/shots cost
• Dog odor. (Would bathe frequently and get a short haired dog to decrease this)

FOOD/SUPPLIES

• A large bag is $20.00
• Will last approx one month based on research
• Would have initial cost of leash, bowls, and collar.
