a poem

Poet's Note:

Inspired by my love of reading, this poem flowed out of me when I was about 10 years old and spent many hours a day exploring the known world by treading pages in books.

The poem has stayed with me, and now that I have a child of my own who has embarked on her adventures in reading, I come back to it with much fondness for all the stories that have transported me to far away places and made me learned.
