Herschel, when using his telescope discovered an object moving in the sky
He later found that this object was Uranus, the 7th planet from the Sun

1785: Herschel built his 40ft telescope
1787: He discovered two moons around Uranus, Titania and Oberon
1789: He found sixth and seventh moons, Enceladus and Mimas
1800: Performed expirement, found different temps. for different colors

1801: Herschel proposed the name "Asteroids"
1820: Due to his discovery, he was elected vice president of the newly formed
1820: Royal Astronomical Society and elected president the following year
Herschel explored the whole Britain sky with his telescope
