Fall Prairie Skies

  • Friday, October 16th (7pm-8pm)
  • Live narrated tour of the wonders of tonight's sky
  • Accompanied by legendary stories of the ancient sky
  • Find out what constellations and planets are visible tonight and how to find them
  • Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 students seniors and kids under 12

Tonight's Sky

  • Educators can use the information from the website in order to gain knowledge on the current condition of our sky
  • Moon, stars, and cloud activity are outlined on a weekly basis
  • There are star charts available that may be duplicated for classes

World of Science Lectures

  • A variety of lectures from local scientists on multiple topics (admission $5)
  • These lectures are a great resource for teachers, as they can be used as a form of professional development
  • These topics can be incorporated into classroom
  • Example lecture: Weird Weather (11/6)

School Visits

  • Simulated shuttle space suite can be brought to schools
  • Presentations are an hour long-students may try on space suit and view a presentation simultaneously
