Winston Churchill ruled in a limited form of government, specifically in the branch of the parliamentary system.

Winston Churchill ruled the United Kingdom as the Prime Minister, the time he ruled was 1940 to 1945 & again through 1951 to 1955.

He was originally elected as Conservative MP for Oldham in 1900, but switched to the Liberal Party before 1900. During the war years once again Churchill crossed over to the Conservative Party.
