Dolphins live in warm oceans usually in Florida. Including one very special dolphin named Winter.

This is Winter's tail. She is a bottle nosed dolphin who lost her tail as a baby. She now wears a prosthetic tail to swim.

This is a drawing of Winter with her prosthetic tail. The formula of gel is specially made for her sensitive skin. It is also used for people with prosthetics too.

This is a close up of her prosthetic tail. The tail does not only allow her to swim as a normal dolphin would, it also acts as a therapy device. In other words, allowing her to live a long, happy, healthy life.

These are two girls visiting Winter. Winter has inspired people with prosthetics not to be ashamed of themselves. All because she taught herself how to swim without a tail using a side to side motion.

This is Winter before her prosthetic. Some people think her tail was cut off. But, her tail gradually fell away until all that was left of it was dead tissue. From there, they of course had to cut of all the dead tissue. It didn't hurt of course. It was like dead skin. Only tissue.

This is a dolphin show. Winter can't do these dolphin shows. Her prosthetic keeps her from being able to do them.but sometimes that's not so bad. In my opinion, she is already a sensation.😜
