I read the book, The Wizard of Oz by Lyman Frank Baum.

The main characters are

  • Dorothy
  • The Wicked Witch of the West
  • Scarecrow (she meets him first)
  • Tinman (she meets him second)
  • Cowardly Lion (she meets him last)

So, if you've seen this movie or read the book, go to this side of the room šŸ‘ˆ. If you haven't seen the movie or read the book, then go to the other side šŸ‘‰.

For those who have seen the movie or read the book, raise your hand if you like Dorothy, point to your head if you like the scarecrow, put your hand on your heart if you like the tin man, and make a scared face if you like the cowardly lion.

The genre of this book is fiction because there is no way that a house can get lifted by a tornado and drifted away to a magical land with little people dressed like children when they really are adults.

The settings are Kansas, where Dorothy lived, and the wonderful land of Oz.

Dorothy lived in Kansas before a tornado swept her house away into a magical land of Oz. There she met a Scarecrow who wanted a brain, a Tin Man who wanted a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who didn't want to be afraid of anything anymore. But when the Wicked Witch of the West wishes for Dorothy to die, is she to make it to the Emerald City where the Wizard of Oz is to help her get back home? You'll have to read the book to find out.

The theme of the story is to not give up because there might be something at the end of the yellow brick road.

The authors purpose for writing this book was to entertain

I rate this book five out of five red heels because this story is a lot better than the movie. It has more detail.

Someone who might like this book would like fantasy and a lot of fiction.
