MOZART’S CHILDHOOD
- Mozart was born in Salzburg Austria
- His father was Leopold Mozart
- His mother was Anna Maria Pertl
- Mozart was one of the two out seven children in his family to survive
- The other child to survive was Mozart’s sister Maria Anna
- At three Mozart could pick out chords on the harpsichord

- Mozart never actually had schooling
- Mozart’s father tutored him in languages such as English, French, Latin, etc.
- Mozart liked math
- He also loved music. Which is obvious!

MOZART’S EARLY LIFE IN MUSIC
- Mozart’s father taught him to play music
- At 3 Mozart could pick out chords on the harpsichord
- At the age of 4 he could play short pieces on the harpsichord
- When he was 5 he started composing
- Just before he was six Mozart’s father took him and his sister to Munich to play at the Bavarian court

- One person to influence Mozart was actually his father.
- Second the Church of Salzburg was an influence.
- Last the other great musicians of his time influenced him greatly

INFORMATION ABOUT MOZART’S DEATH
- Mozart died December 5, 1791 in Vienna, Austria at age 35
- He was a very poor man at death
- Since Mozart was so poor he coudn’t afford a gravestone
- He was buried in common grave
- He was writing his song called Requiem when he died

- Mozart was an extremely small person at 5 foot 4
- Mozart had a lot of pets
- He had a strange sense of humor, he told jokes as an adult that a kid would today

- We are still not sure how Mozart died.
