PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Women had made up their minds to go the Klondike and no one could convince them to stay away
They did it either to support family
They had crossed the Chilkoot trail in 1896 and 1900
Another way women made a fortune was from dancing at dance halls and working at shops
Eventually churches and hospitals had been built because of the growth of the gold rush
And there was of course journalists who went to observe
They wrote about Yukon geology, topography, climate and economics
They were determined, professinal, and ready to defy society. All different women working for the same thing
