WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE

Mary Wollstonecraft wrote a book about women's suffrage.

Her book was published in 1792.

The 15th Amendment allowed black men to vote.

Susan B. Anthony (right) and Elizabeth Cady Stanton (left) started this organization, the NWSA.

Lucy Stone created the AWSA.

The two came together to form the NAWSA.

Women began going on strike as a way of protest.

Carrie Chapman Catt was named the president of the NAWSA in 1915.

The 19th Amendment was granted to women on August 26, 1920.

On August 26, 1920, women gained the right to vote. Men and women were now somewhat equal.
