Women worked 6 days a week. They performed in assembly lines which produced aircraft, engines, tanks, and trucks.

Women only had a few holidays off. They were even asked to work overtime to keep the assembly lines in production.

Women's Accomplishments and Impact While Working in Factories

The women created 300,000 aircraft, 12,000 ships, 86,000 tanks, and 64,000 landing craft total.

Some important
women in the factories were Lucille Little, Amanda Smith, Wong Ruth Mae Moy, Olive Ann Beech, and Rose Will Monroe (Rosie the Riveter)
