MY HOUSE

  • This is our house
  • It is called "Grace Dieu"

GRACE DIEU

  • Grace dieu was a ship
  • It was built between 1416 and 1418 (River Hamble)
  • it was built for King Henry V
  • She sailed on only one voyage,
  • in 1439 she was struck by a bolt of lightning and burnt.

WARSASH CLOCK TOWER

WARSASH CLOCK TOWER

  • it was built about 1900
  • it was water tower which could hold 6000 gallons of water
  • The original clock struck ship's time (Eight Bells) on a large bell
  • The tower was purchased at auction in 1938
  • it is now part of Clock Tower Garage

WARSASH VILLAGE

  • Warsash history dates back to the bronze age (800BC)
  • Warsash was a number of separate hamlets
  • It was a dockyard during the 100 years war
  • In 1807 , a shipyard was built there
  • It was a launch site during D Day
