  • Stored as snow in the mountains
  • Feeds streams.

  • Trees provide shade that cools the water, increasing oxygen levels for Salmon
  • Shade from the trees also cool animals during hot summers

  • Sediment provides nutrients that the salmon need to live
  • Oxygen dissolved in water is needed by fish to survive
