im here to talk about workers' rights that began in the 1830s. in this presentation i talk about how workers' rights kind of was a huge effect back then. and my definition of reform is to make something better by removal of faults

  • 1835-1836: 140 strikes took place in the eastern

WHat did this movement try to do?

  • IT tried to improve work condition

WHat were the causes?

  • One condition was the factory was noisy, boring, and unsafe

Describe he reform


a reform is making something better by removing the faults. so in this movement the reform is the fact that 1,500 women stopped working to demand better conditions...i hope i got that right.

The effect this movement had

  • 1,500 people went on strike
  • 140 strikes were taken place in the eastern united states
  • i think they won
