I will introduce developmental milestones to the class.

Students choose to work with a 3 or 4 year old child

Students will begin researching

the developmental milestones for the age of the child that they chose.

The teacher will provide an example of how an app could be used to assess developmental milestones in children. Students will then search for an app or other technology that they can use to create their assessment.

Students will visit the preschool

and start to plan their assessment

Students will create an assessment, using the technology of their choice, that is age-appropriate for the child that they are working with. The goal is for their assessment to be used to assess the child's level of development using a developmental milestone checklist.

Students will use their assessment

with a preschool child

Students will use our class Schoology discussion board to share their comments on each other's videos.

Students will meet with the preschool teacher to discuss the outcome of their assessment and receive feedback from the teacher.

Students will complete a final evaluation of the assessment that they created and whether or not their goal was achieved.
