Adolf Hitler was Germany's leader. Germany was the major aggressor in WWII.
Where?
Germany started by taking Poland, in 1939, they then took France in 1940. After that, the Nazis started bombing Great Britain, who refused to surrender.
Who?
The US finally entered the war in December, 1941, after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Hoping to scare the US into staying neutral.
Where?
The US sent troops to 3 theatres; the Pacific theater, the African theater, and the European theater.
After D-Day, the massive invasion of Normandy, Germany started to fall, and they surrendered on May 7, 1945.
On August 6 and 9, 1945, the US dropped the only atom bombs deployed in war, and Japan surrendered.
