1939-1945

In 1939 without declaring war Germany invades Poland which was the beginning of World War Two. A few days later Canada declares war on Germany.

There was two sides of the war-
The Axis powers
And the
Allies

In 1941 Japan and Russia sign a neutrality pack.

The U.S. Also extends aid to the Soviet Union.

Japan also bombs our naval base Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. A day after Pearl Harbor was bombed the U.S. declared war on Japan.

In result of joining the war there was a lot of deaths. There was 2 to 3 million deaths in the U.S.

Some outcomes of the war was that it ended the Great Depression. Hitler also killed himself because he thought the war was over. The U.S. became a world power because we had nuclear weapons and used them. We also won both world wars.
