INTERESTING FACTS
wrought iron was first used for weapons but as time passed it started being used to cover doors and windows as protection.
Demand for wrought iron was strongest in 1860's when iron started becoming popular.
Generally there are two different types of wrought iron, charcoal and puddle iron.
One of the first ways they started to produce wrought iron and other iron was in bloomeries, a sort of furnace with a pit and chimney.
"Wrought iron" comes from the word work, so the term basically means worked iron.
