AIRPLANE FLEETS

• Militaries now needed to look out for aerial threats as well as train their own men to pilot and fly. It also led to new tactics and ways wars were fought

TANKS

• was used as a way to flex military muscles as well as used in the war. It would be used commonly there after in most wars. This weapon killed many soldiers.

PRESIDENTIAL TRIPS TO EUROPE

• it showed alliances,trust and friendship in the war and would set the stage for other presidents to come over to Europe to negotiate and show friendship

CHEMICAL WARFARE

• The chemical warfare killed many soldiers Made it so other countries had to develop solutions
• It changed fighting and strategies for war Also lead to chemical gas masks and the introduction of agent orange in the Vietnam war
• Gas wasn't very effective with only 1% of deaths and 7% of casualties being attributed to it
• types of gases used included: Tear gas Chlorine Mustard gas Phosgene
• was first used by the French who used tear gas against the Germans, but the Germans were the ones to use gas most effectively first
