Jan 30, 1933 – May 8, 1945

CAUSES

  • After WW1 Germany was blamed with most of the expense
  • As Hitler took power his antisemitism views against Jews grew
  • Hitler blamed the Jews for what happened

CAUSES

  • Hitler used propaganda to convince the people that the Jews were a problem to society.

MAJOR EVENTS

  • January 30, 1933 Hitler comes to power
  • November 9-10, 1933 nazis destroyed Jewish synagogues
  • September 21, 1933 Jews were ordered into ghettos
  • January 14, 1934 most jews are in concentration camps

MAJOR EVENTS

  • December 12, 1934 death camps start
  • May 8, 1945 all death camps are liberated.

EFFECTS

  • Over 5 million Jews were killed by camps
  • After the Jews were liberated many of them were afraid to go home.
