ESSENTIAL QUESTION

• Why do we need the three branches.
• Three branches of government is as powerful as Kim Jung Un times three.

DA GAME

• Split into three groups
• Raise your hand!!
• Every group is a branch of govrnment
• Think of what you would do with your privlidges

EXECUTIVE

• Includes Pres. and Vice Pres.
• Cabinet contains 15 branches
• They in force laws

LEGISLATIVE

• Made up of two houses
• House of Rep.= 435 members
• House of rep. Based on each states population
• Senate= 100 2 from each state
• Make laws

JUDICIAL

• Not a trial court, they're a bench court
• Interprets laws
• No other court can over rule them

WHY WE NEED EXECUTIVE BRANCH

• Need a leader
• Too much power=bad
• Their would not be a commander and chief for military
• More law breaking.

WHY WE NEED THE LEGISLATIVE BRANCH

• Wouldn't have enough laws
• Wouldn't have a congress that votes on certain things
• Problems would go unsolved for long periods of time

WHY WE NEED THE JUDICIAL BRANCH

• Cases would go unfinished
• Disagreements all over the place
• More law breaking

ANSWERING ESSENTIAL QUESTION

• Their would be too much power for one branch
• We could become a dictatorship
• No balance of powers
• Bad America
