STRATUS CLOUDS

  • Stratus clouds are gray.
  • They cover the sky.
  • No precipitation falls from stratus clouds.
  • They look like fog that doesn't touch the ground.

  • Stratus clouds are thin clouds blown by the wind.
  • They form at six thousand meters.
  • Move across west to east across the sky.
  • They mean fair to pleasant weather.

  • Cumulus clouds are puffy.
  • They look like popcorn.
  • They are usually 1000 meters above the ground.
  • They can develop into a thunderstorm cloud.

  • The warmer the air is,the more moister it can hold as vapor.
  • Fog can get very thick.
