YASH GUPTA

My name is Yash Gupta, and this is my story.

I was born in India, then when I was three, I moved to the United States. To be exact, I moved to Irvine, California.

I was in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts,when I was growing up. That's where I got some of my inspiration to serve my community.

It all started when I broke my glasses in freshman year in high school. My glasses shattered, while doing taekwondo.

I could not see anything, that's when I realized some kids live like this every day!

MY QUEST

• I started to collect eyeglasses, from anywhere
• I also talked to eye specialists to help me test kids to see if they need eyeglasses.
• And many kids did!

I even made a website. It is called Sight Learning. It is where you can learn about me, and help me also!

I am currently a junior at USC (University of Southern California). I am currently studying Business, with a minor in Sports and Media.

I would also like to pursue a career in sports business. While helping Sight Learning of course!

So far I have raised 1,600,000$ (US) in glasses! I also donated 31,000 glasses, (and counting!) as well Sight Learning has been alive for almost 7 years!
