• The most common symptoms are yellow tinted skin and eyes,weakness ,chills and fever,loss of appetite,and vomiting.

Today yellow fever is located in South America and Africa.Back then it was in Africa, South America,and the United States .

Yellow fever is rare in the United States so when it struck in 1793, it was really unexpected.

TREATMENTS TODAY

• Today their are vaccines for yellow fever but,only places at high risk for yellow fever usually carry the vaccine.
• Most doctors try to cure one symptom at a time because their is no real cure.

• Many of the people who tried to cure yellow fever tried things such as bleeding the patients,cold baths to freeze out the fever,and gross mixtures of liquids and seasonings to puke out the fever.

• Yellow fever can only be caused by female mosquitoes.
• General Washington had also caught yellow fever even after he had left the town.
• In the 1930's was when the very first yellow fever vaccines came out.
