Yersinia pestis identifies as a bacteria and is commonly known as the Black Death

It was discovered in October 1347 by Alexandre Yersinia

It started inChina and was transported to England via boat. It infected humans from flea bites caused by rats who carried it. Later on the disease became air-bourne.

It affected the lymph nodes, and within 3 to 7 days of exposure you will develop buboes and flu like symptoms.

The mortality rate is 50% which caused around 75 million deaths. As a result, scientist tried to make a vaccine, but failed. It also has an incubation period of 1 to 3 days.
