IDEA

• Our idea is to build a YMCA
• We want to put a new place for people to exercise
• Bring revenue to Aurora from the area

WHY WE NEED IT

• It will help kids stay busy and stay out of trouble
• It will replace The Leadership Center
• New youth recreation center
• Cut down on childhood obesity

THE LEADERSHIP CENTER

• It is starting to get run down and out dated.
• Provides few activities
• Rarely used.
• Have to make reservations

WHO WOULD USE IT

• It would draw attention from local towns
• Teens could buy passes from schools
• Memberships available for purchase
• Group activities

• We took 2 surveys
• The first survey was what would be used
• The second survey is have you been to The Leadership Center
• These help show what is needed

• Weekend leagues
• Adult and youth leagues
• Basketball and volleyball
• Other group and team activities

COST

• Estimated costs run in the millions it depends what exactly is built
• Extra charges at area events to raise money
• Volunteers will help lower pay roll costs
• Franchise cost- $25,000

WHAT IS IN THE YMCA

• Weight room
• Swimming pool with lanes and slides
• Basketball courts
• Volleyball courts
• Indoor/outdoor paintball course

SHORT TERM GOAL

• Get it built and funded in 2 years
• Help keep kids out of trouble

LONG TERM GOAL

• Keep it running on low costs with help of volunteers
• Keep it state of the art
• Build a scholar ship foundation
• Start a tradition of long term leagues
