WHAT ITS USED FOR

  • Used for tv
  • Specifically for the red in tv
  • Used for lenses in cameras
  • yttrium aluminium garnet is a gemstone (simulated diamond)

COOL FACTS

  • Yttrium has been found on the moon
  • When yttrium is in small pieces it becomes unstable
  • In 1996 two thirds of yttrium were used for tv and computers monitors
  • Rarely found in pure form
