• Ruled all of china until 1368
• The yuan dynasty bore the Mandate of Heaven following the Song Dynasty
• They preceded the Ming dynasty

LANGUAGE

• They didn't know the Chinese language
• They used there native language, Mongolian, and pagshpa scripts

Kublia khan placed his grandfather on the imperial records as the founder of the dynasty as taizu.
