• There is one almighty God named Ahura Mazda
• One evil god named Angra Mainyu
• Relationship between Urvan and Fravashi
• The end and revival of the world

What do they do?

• worship fire and water
• water = apo
• fire = atar
• triumph of darius over the conspirators

Involvement with Persia and Darius

• They a partially secular government 
• However Darius himself was a devout follower of Ahura Mazda
• They permitted any and all religions
• During the Achaemenid empire it developed most momentum
