Born on March 3, 1847 in Edinburgh,Scotland
Tought the deaf due to regarded education in audio sciences
Invented the telephone

THE TELEPHONE
Successfully invented on March 10, 1876.
Based on idea that people can communicate simultaneously as long as each sound contained a different pitch
The invention was driven out of Bell's desire to enhance communication.
First words spoken through telephone: "Mr. Watson-- come here-- I want to see you."
Signaled a new era in technology that was ahead of its time.

THE IMMEDIATE RESULT
Simultaneous communication was achieved for the first time
Morse Code became near irrelevant
Bell had realized one of his largest goals as an inventor
