Eva Perón
was an Argentine first lady who used her position in government to fight for the women's suffrage movement in Argentina
Perón grew up poor. Her father had another family (at the time and place this wasn't uncommon).He deserted them, and ended up passing away when Eva was ver young.
Teen And Young Adult Years
Eva fell in love and ran away from her family at the age of 15 to Buenos Aires to become an actress. However, the relationship was short lived, but Perón continued pursuing her acting career
In 1937, she landed her first role in the movie Segundos Afuera. Around the age of 20, she started her own entertainment business, Company of the Theater of the Air that produced radio shows.
WhenEva married Jaun Peron,her life changed forever. She became the first lady of Argentina and the following year after her husband's inauguration, she proved to be a strong political influence.
She used her political power to fight for causes she believed in. Some of the causes she fought for include women's suffrage and poverty.
She was a skilled speaker and was very relatable due to her poor upbringing. She used this to her advantage and was beloved for this.
Peron got uterine cancer in about 1951. She made her last public appearance in 1952 at her husband's second inauguration. She died a month later.
