Erasmus believed in the essential goodness of children, human freewill, moral conscience and ability to reason.

Learner is self-motivated to achieve towards the highest level possible. Motivation to learn is intrinsic in humanism.

Humanism is a belief that that individuals control their own destinies through the application of their intelligence and learning.

Basic objectives Humanistic view of education

  • develop the ability to take responsibility for what is learned

  • interest in the arts

Humanistic education enhances the teaching of the basics.

Humanistic education encourages parent involvement in the schools
