Mussolini watched the progress of Hitlers war with bitterness and alarm.
How they rose to power,
Mussolini rose to power to power in the wake of wwI as a leading proponent of fascism. He forced the paramilitary fascist movement in 1919 and became prime minister in 1922.
Education
Mussolini was a very violent and uncontrollable child, expelled from several schools for attacking pupils with a penknife, but was also intelligent, passing examinations.
Family information
Mussolini was the oldest of three children. His father, Alessandro, was a blacksmith and an socialist who spent a lot of his time and politics and much of his money on a mistress. Rosa, his mother was a devout catholic and school teacher who provided the family with stability and income.

Hobbies/ interest
When Mussolini started to do better in school he went on to become a qualified teacher even if he wasn't interested in teaching. He had developed passions for politics.
Other interesting facts
In 1945, in Mussolini was executed but planned to escape to Switzerland before the execution.
Mussolini studied socialist politics when he was an immigrant in Switzerland.
