PRESENTATION OUTLINE

MUMPS

  • People with mumps are usually contagious from two days before to five days after they develop symptoms.mumps is a serious health condition, it is a highly contagious viral illness that is spread by respiratory droplets.
  • Symptoms- fatigue body ache head ache.
  • Treatments- take pain reliever, put ice packs on swollen glands.

RUBELLA

  • Rubella is caused by a virus that is spread from person to person when an infected person coughs or sneezes & direct contact with the nose or throat secretions of an infected person.
  • Symptoms-Rash, slight fever, red eyes & aching joints.
  • No treatment will shorten the cause of rubella most symptoms are so mild treatment wasn't necessary.

SMALL POX

  • Throughout history, smallpox has been a greatly feared disease because it was responsible for huge epidemics worldwide that resulted in large numbers of deaths
  • The variola virus is acquired from direct contact with individuals infected with the disease, from contaminated air droplets, and even from objects used by another smallpox victim
  • The individual bumps fill with clear fluid and eventually become pus-filled over the course of 10-12 days.

HEPATITIS

  • Hepatitis refers to an inflammatory condition of the liver. It’s commonly caused by a viral infection.
  • The hepatitis A virus usually spreads from person to person contact or from contaminated food water or infected stool.
  • Hepatitis causes yellow eyes and affects the livers normal jobs.

POLIO

  • Up to 95% of polio cases show no symptoms. A small number of people may have fever, sore throat, headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or diarrhea.
  • It can be spread by direct contact with sick persons or through the air when a sick person talks, coughs, or sneezes
  • There is no treatment just anti biotics.
