How did Australopithecus live/ survive?
It Survived by living in trees and on ground. Their method of survival helped them prolong for nearly one million years.

What does Australopithecus eat?
Australopithecus ate leaves, fruit, seeds, roots, nuts, and insects and occasionally lizards. So in short Australopithecus was a scavenger of sorts.

When did Australopithecus live? We believe it lived 3.85 and 2.95 million years ago in Eastern Africa which is made up of, Ethiopia,Kenya, and Tanzania.

Did Australopithecus make tools? No he was before Homo Erectus who was the first to make tools.

ITS PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

  • Males were usually 4'11"
  • Females were usually 3'5"
  • Males weighed around 92 lbs
  • Females weighed around 64 lbs
  • It had a flat nose and a strongly projecting jaw long strong arms with curved fingers for climbing trees

What environment did Australopithecus live in?
He lived in a densely forested part of Africa before climate changed and everything started to dry and he was forced to move and later die off.
