PRESENTATION OUTLINE
1. Renewable Resources are resources made in nature. Non renewable resources are resources man made or not found in nature (eia.gov)
1A. According to epa.gov, both are involved with our choice because one easy thing to do is turn off water when brushing teeth. Water is renewable. Another example is get Eco friendly light bulbs. Eco harmful bulbs are non renewable once they burn out they are done.
1B. 5 easy things to do at home saves energy which saves money, helps the environment, and makes the world a better place for others (epa.gov)
1C. Some disadvantages are time and money. Some people might not want to pay a electrician to install Eco friendly bulbs or a plumber to replace an old toilet. Also it might take some time for these to start saving money.
1D. We know we are correct that saving energy saves money because its been proven. If you turn off your water when you brush your teeth you save money on your water bill as long as you keep the other water costs the same as when you don't turn off the water (ess.nsw.gov)
2. Biosphere because humans can make this change. Hydrosphere because one thing to do would be save water. Atmosphere because you could do things to reduce your harmful emissions in the air (epa.gov)
3. I think it's really easy they just need to commit. There might be an inconvenience but saving the planet is worth it.
4. Yes it will definitely cost money to buy new energy efficient appliances, light bulbs, and water saving toilets. The money you spend buying these new energy saving things will come back in the money you save with new stuff.
5. Yes, one inconvenience would be the money and time you have to spend replacing old energy sucking appliances with new energy saving ones.
6. I think doesn't directly connect to any of them but all of them relate to saving energy. Wether it's solar power, wind power, or geothermal the goal always is to save energy and money.
Renewable Or Non Renewable
Solar Power: Renewable, you can harness the Sun's energy any time it shines (epa.gov)
Wind Power: Renewable, you can harness wind energy any time it blows (epa.gov)
Biomass: Renewable: anything you get from biomass can be used from biomass material (epa.gov)
Renewable or Non Renewable
Geothermal: Renewable, you use Earth to conserve energy (epa.gov)
Hydro-Electric Electricity Plants: Renewable because you use hydrogen to make energy tend as long as there is hydrogen you can use hydro energy (epa.gov)
Nuclear Energy: Renewable you use nuclear substance to form energy. As long as you have the materials needed your ok (epa.gov)
Renewable or Non Renewable
Coal-fired electricity: Non Renewable because coal isn't made in nature and takes millions of years to make (epa.gov)
Petroleum Energy: Non Renewable because it's not made in nature and therefore non renewable (epa.gov)
In 1961 Nuclear energy was non existent in the America's energy sources, in 2011 it was more than 20% of America's energy (dosomething.org)
Petroleum oil provided 18% of energy for electricity in 1973 and less than 1% in 2011 (dosomething.org)
In energy efficiency doubles as planned by 2030 America will save $327 Billion across buildings, transportation, industry, household, and taxable energy costs (dosomething.org)
With the energy efficiency America is planning to achieve the US Co2 emissions would decrease by 4 Billion metric tons (dosomething.org)
