The Hydrolic Cycle Presentation

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

The Hydrolic Cycle

By: Skye

The water cycle is the non-stop movement of water on the ground, in the oceans, and air

Precipitation

Water comes to Earth in the form of precipitation

Evaporation

The sun's energy heats water and changes into a gas through evaporation

Condensation

The gas condenses in the clouds through condensation.

When the clouds get too heavy the water falls as precipitation and the cycle starts all over again

Vocabulary

Percolation

The first path is where the water enters the soil due to gravity

Run Off

The second path water follows due to gravity

Transpiration

Water given off by plants

Surface Run Off

Rivers and Streams

Subsurface Run Off

Ground water that has percolated due to gravity into the soil
