40 DAYS OF #dailymartingale

For the past 40 days, I have completed daily drawings of my dog, Marty

He is a great model

Initially, I didn't have a concrete goal, I just knew that I wanted to make art every day

Too many great drawing opportunities had been squandered, because I had arrived at the scene feeling rusty

I don't like feeling rusty — Public, interesting and accountable practice would force me to work against laziness and procrastination

Marty makes me work

He is a great character — Handsome, sensitive and expressive

He inspires great affection in people

More importantly, he's always around

Showing me new ways to see him
