Darry has very strict rules on Ponyboy and Sodapop because he is loves him and doesn't want to give the authorities any reason to separate them.
The greasers all respect Darry because he's the oldest.
The Greasers are very communicative to each other, especially if ones in trouble. For example, when Pony Boy got jumped and was screaming for all the other Greasers.
When their parents died, Pony boy, Soda Pop, and Darry all had to figure out a way to stay together.
When Ponyboy had some time to think about it, he forgave Darry for hitting him.
Darry is very protective of his younger brothers because of how much he loves them and doesn't want them to get hurt.
When Johnny killed Bob, the Greasers stuck together and supported him even though he did a terrible thing.
They all celebrated when Pony Boy got aquitted.
Darry and Soda Pop showed enormous amounts of commitment when they ended their school careers to work and provide for Pony Boy and each other.
