  • The Average salary for a video game designer is about $50,000-$70,000 but for higher ranked developers more than average.
  • About 96%of game designers receive benefits which include medical, dental, and company sponsored retirements.

DIFFICULTIES/OVERALL CHALLENGES

  • Since the industry is so competitive, some decide to work overseas which can actually lower
  • Since video games must meet a deadline, even more for popular games, their must meet this deadline which results in many working long overtime hours to achieve these goals.

  • Considering how much the gaming industry has grown, the amount of people looking for a job in video game design has risen as well.
  • Finding work for this can also be difficult because not everyone can do video game design.

  • Typically a degree in computer programming, computer science, art and design, or visual communications with an emphasis in video game design.

  • In conclusion, having a job in this career is not easy, and in fact is pretty difficult but if you put in the work for it and love what you're doing, then it's all worth it at the end.
