1.Connecticut workers were the first people to make many tools and inventions. Their inventions include bicycles, dyed silk, friction matches, printing type, repeating pistols, rubber shoes, and vulcanized rubber (The World Book Encyclopedia World Book Inc. 953). As, you can see, Connecticut has invented some very odd things. They aren't really famous for their inventions. Even though these all may be very odd inventions, they do make a difference, especially since they were made first.
2. Whitfield House, on Guilford, on the Long Island Sound, is the oldest stone house in New England and the oldest house in Connecticut. It was built in 1639 (Student Atlas Peavson Scott Foresman 52). Whitfield House is also a great place where tourists go. It's also a great place to take pictures of the house. Whitfield House is a great landmark because of its history.
