This is a message to the Members of Youth for Environmental Action ‼️‼️
My partner, Ariyahnah Smith & I would like to talk about why we are against The excessive use of oil in Wilmington, NC.

We are against excessive usage in this part of a North Carolina because this is where the Atlantic beach is.
OCCURRING OF OIL SPILLS
- Oil tanks break down.
- Water Sports
- Drilling work that occurs in the sea

Effects...
Seabirds: When the oil heavily covers the birds they are then unable to fly because it weighs it down .
Effects :
Small organisms such as plankton , oysters, seaweed and fish are affected by the oil because when the oil covers different organisms it affects the food Chain and eventually different organisms will die.

The effects on plants & animals.
- Oil blocks out light
- No photosynthesis
- Oxygen is deminished
- Plants die
To sum everything up, oil spills are hazardous to humans, plants & animals and this is why we would like to minimize oil spills.
