- The gecko was sad for spending the man's first dollar, so he offered him a chip
- Made the commercial funny
ETHOS
- "Geico has been saving people money on car insurance for more than 70 years"
- States the credibility of Geico as a company
DICK'S SPORTING GOODS: UNTOUCHABLE
LOGOS
- "When mind, body, and equipment come together, you are untouchable."
- It's like the old saying, "When you put your mind to it, you can do anything."
PATHOS
- Appeals to hard work and dedication
- Shows how emotional players get during sporting events (basketball player screaming at the end)
ETHOS
- Reassures you that Dick's has the proper equipment for you so that you can be "untouchable."
