  • This is trying to get people to switch to Geico so they don't have to spend as much money

  • The gecko was sad for spending the man's first dollar, so he offered him a chip
  • Made the commercial funny

ETHOS

  • "Geico has been saving people money on car insurance for more than 70 years"
  • States the credibility of Geico as a company

DICK'S SPORTING GOODS: UNTOUCHABLE

LOGOS

  • "When mind, body, and equipment come together, you are untouchable."
  • It's like the old saying, "When you put your mind to it, you can do anything."

PATHOS

  • Appeals to hard work and dedication
  • Shows how emotional players get during sporting events (basketball player screaming at the end)

ETHOS

  • Reassures you that Dick's has the proper equipment for you so that you can be "untouchable."
