ANTARCTICA

It is almost entirely desert and very little snow or rain falls
The lowest temperature ever recorded on Earth was at Russia’s Vostok Station in Antarctica: -128.6°F
About 70% of Earth’s fresh water is in the Antarctic ice cap
It is generally circular in shape and is centered on the South Pole

AUSTRALIA

It is the 6th largest country in the world, occupying 7.6 million square kilometres.
It has the world's 3rd largest ocean territory, spanning three oceans and covering 12 million square kilometres
The Great Barrier Reef is a 1,250 mile chain of more than 2,500 reefs and islands.
The largest river is the Murray River.

INDOCHINA

Millions of people rely on the Mekong River
Volcanic activity and flooding rivers add nutrient back into soil
The people have have access to a large numbers of fish in rivers and seas
The region has mineral resources, such as petroleum, tin and gems

MALAY PENINSULA

It is a narrow strip of land about 700 miles long
It serves as a bridge between the mainland and islands
Part of it is an archipelago
The Malay peninsula is one of two peninsulas

POLYNESIA

Polynesia is made up of islands and archipelagos
Most of the islands and archipelagos are made of volcanic islands
New Zealand is the largest island in Polynesia
The Polynesian Triangle is drawn by connecting the points of Hawaii, New Zealand and Easter Island

INDONESIA

Indonesia is an archipelago that has 17,508 islands
At 741,050 sq mi, Indonesia is the world's 15th-largest country
At 16,024 ft, Puncak Jaya is Indonesia's highest peak
Lake Toba in Sumatra its largest lake, with an area of 442 sq mi
